Rhea Maini

Rhea Maini is a third-year undergraduate student at Western University, pursuing an Honours Specialization in Microbiology and Immunology. She is particularly interested in how early life environments shape long-term health outcomes. Through her experience working with children with autism, in daycare settings and tutoring students, she has developed an appreciation for how engaging environments can foster both cognitive and physical growth. She is eager to contribute to research exploring the impact of childcare settings on children’s movement behaviors, focusing on promoting accessible and effective physical activity interventions. By working with the Child Health and Physical Activity Lab, she hopes to support research that informs policies and practices to optimize children’s physical activity levels and overall well-being. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and caring for her plants.
